Meeting Duke

Ruby and I went for our daily walk around Tipton Lake in the next neighborhood over. On our way back, we met the big boy in the video below. His name is Duke and his boy, Mclain, is a friend of Jamie's. Mclain was over last weekend, but it was raining, so we didn't get to meet Duke. He happened to be out front when we walked by so we stopped and said hello.

At about 150 pounds, Duke is a monster. And a giant sweetheart. He played so gentle with Ruby. And she was just eating it up. Not the least bit intimidated by him. We'll have to stop by and play some more as she grows. Duke is an example of why Great Danes are known as Gentle Giants.



In addition, I managed to get some pictures taken this weekend. I love this one. It is so hard to believe she will ever big as big as Duke. But the odds are very good.
